Tell us a bit about your background and how it helped shape the expertise you bring to CAE.
I moved to the Northeast Kingdom to begin again in a place that felt more like a home than any other: the land and small communities, where farming is at the center. I spent most of my life working in technology, writing software, later serving as a software architect, and finally, working remotely from Vermont. I picked up bookkeeping skills about 25 years ago when I ran a small software business. Now partially retired, I feel lucky to have found a way to contribute at CAE.

What excites you about your work and/or the work of CAE?
The work at CAE, quietly immersed in the local and regional food supply, is inspiring and deeply motivating. I feel I couldn’t have found a better way to contribute to the local economy and to resilience.

What brings you joy? (work or otherwise)
Living amidst friendly porcupines, bumble bees, butterflies, and echoing calls of the hermit thrush.

What brings you hope? (work or otherwise)
I find hope in all the ways the larger community across the Northeast Kingdom works together collaboratively, creatively, and joyfully to help each other through challenging times.
