Tell us a bit about your background and how it helped shape the expertise you bring to CAE. 
I grew up in Orleans county, along the Canadien border. Prior to joining the ranks at the CAE, I worked in the non-profit world for many years which included stints running a teen center in Newport and working in substance use prevention. About 8 years or so ago, I discovered NEKO and it quickly became my organizing "home" which changed my life and led me to my role at the CAE. I also have a background in ceramics, am a passionate cook, and eater.

What excites you about your work and/or the work of CAE?
Everything! I marvel everyday at the talents and hearts of my colleagues and the work we're part of in the field. Seeing how something as seemingly simple as a community meal can be a powerful incubator for leadership development, change has been an honor to witness.

What brings you joy? (work or otherwise)
Well made, handmade functional objects. Learning. Cooking a food with and for people I love.

What brings you hope? (work or otherwise)
Community meals as a tool for building and mending relationships, building leaders, and stoking a spark.
