Learning Visits & Tours
Each year we receive hundreds of visitors who are excited about food, local food systems, agriculture, community development, education and business. We offer both longer Learning Visits, and tours of the Food Venture Center, to help our community learn and enjoy the region.
Learning Visits can be tailored to your educational and organizational needs, and generally range in cost from $150-$500 per day. We have hosted dozens of groups from all over the world, including Heifer International, delegates from the Middle East and Asia, Middlebury College, University of Vermont, Sterling College, local high schools and middle schools and several non-profit and governance organizations from around the Northeast. Learning Visits generally run from April to October.
We also give tours of the Food Venture Center, sharing the details of kitchens, equipment, operations and food safety. These must be scheduled in advance, and can be run throughout the year.
In addition, Regional Agricultural Tours happen seasonally and in conjunction with community events and activities. Keep your eye on our calendar page for larger tours of the NEK's farm and food operations in the summer months!
