We are thrilled to post more about the Working Lands Enterprise Initiative, and the award winners for 2014!

VermontBiz.com writes “The Working Lands Enterprise Board announces this year’s grant recipients – 37 projects for $1.1 million in grants reaching every county in Vermont (8 forestry projects, 28 agriculture projects, 1 ag and forestry project) and leveraging $1.8 million in matching funds, building upon last year’s initial investment of $1 million. This year, the program further invests in job creation, innovation, sustainability, and increased income.”

From cider presses, egg washing equipment, low-impact timber harvests, swine industry development, to services, land purchases and association building, these grants will make an enormous impact on Vermont’s economy and working lands industries. Many of CAE’s friends and partners have been awarded grants this year - Snug Valley, Fat Toad Farm, VHCB, VSJF, Intervale Center, Vermont Technical College and more!
