Heidi Krantz, our SBDC partnership staff person, is hosting a special matchmaking event for the food and farm businesses who have been working with the Center for an Agricultural Economy and the Vt Food Venture Center. This is the second year she has held this Specialty Food and Farm Producers Show and Tasting, and this year, it will be held on the beautiful Sterling College Campus in Craftsbury.

“Relationships between food entrepreneurs, and the stores and shops that sell their products are crucial,” says Heidi, “and this matchmaking is a chance for those retailers to meet, eat, and buy!”

The event this year is being held at Sterling College from 3pm to 7pm, on May 15th, Thursday. Over 20 food producers, many who focus on locally grown products, and Vermont branding, will be showcasing their products at this event. This is chance for these folks to pitch their products to the stores who care about supporting local first. The retailers who are attending this event will have the chance to sample and talk to the food entrepreneurs and learn the story behind these locally made products. There will be over 150 food products available for the retailers to taste and try!

If you are a retailer, who has not yet signed up for this matchmaking event, this is your chance to meet the small and emerging businesses who are using the Vt Food Venture Center or who are marketing their products to your store! Contact Heidi Krantz, at 802-472-5362 extension 206, to reserve your spot at this matchmaking event.
