For Immediate Release

March 7, 2013 – Hardwick, VT -┬áThe Center for an Agricultural Economy has announced that it will be relocating its office to 140 Junction Road, home of the Vermont Food Venture Center, the multi-use processing facility and incubator kitchen the CAE operates in Hardwick.

By May 1st, the entire organization will be operating fully from one space, utilizing a large conference room and multiple offices for its staff. The move will allow the CAE to conduct its programming and events as well as manage and expand operations at the VFVC, all from within a central location in Hardwick that neighbors with other local businesses like Vermont Soy, Deano’s Jalepenos, Vermont Natural Coatings and Caledonia Spirits.

“The Mill Street office is a beautiful, functional space and we will miss being there”, says Elena Gustavson, Program Director for the CAE, “but ultimately we can be most effective working together out of one space.” The historical brick building that the CAE leaves, is also home to Highfields Center for Composting on the second floor and is centrally located in a vibrant downtown village.

The move is the second one for the CAE in the last 16 months, having previously occupied the South Main Street retail front next door to Claire’s and current home of the well-loved Galaxy Bookshop. “This is a positive step forward in our growth,” states Sarah Waring, Executive Director, “and we are looking forward to hosting more events at the VFVC in the coming year.”
